Determined to ensure its students had an engaging end to their first full term of 2020 and didn’t miss out on traditional Book Week activities, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Wentworthville recently hosted an amazing two-week long Comic-Con event.
Term 3 was the first full term of school for NSW school students and many schools were wary of engagement levels, nearing the end of a year of considerable disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
OLMC Comic-Con 2020 was launched with the hope of actively engaging students in their literacy while reinforcing the importance of knowing the audience, having a clear message and understanding purpose in written and visual texts.
