Celebrating our Feast Day

Friday July 22 was a special day in the school community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

On this day we celebrated the feast day of our school patron Our lady of Mount Carmel. Our school community came together to celebrate Mass. This Mass was extra special as it was the first school Mass celebrated by Fr Martinho. Many parents and parishioners joined us for this liturgical celebration.

The Parents and Friends Association of our school organised some special treats to help the children remember this special day. The parents gave each child a prayer card of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. They also gave the children a packet of chips and popper to help them celebrate.

On the 20th February, our Year 6 students had a special day participating in the Encounter excursion, a spiritual retreat shared with schools across the Parramatta Diocese. The day provided an opportunity for our students to come together as a faith community and actively seek a deeper experience with God. A highlight of the day was being led in worship by Christian musician Gen Bryant, whose music and ministry have already been part of our classroom learning.
