It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and hugs shared on Friday the 10th of May as the community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel gathered to celebrate the wonderful gift of mothers, grandmothers and mother figures with a delicious breakfast.
Mother’s Day Breakfast was followed by a mass - where we were able to give thanks and reflect on being blessed with our beautiful mothers.
A huge thanks to the P & F committee for coordinating our first ever Mother’s Day Breakfast. Thank you also to the team of helpers who helped ensure the breakfast was such a success. Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the event, it was lovely to see so many OLMC families sharing Mother's Day.

✝️ God Day – Stations of the Cross ✝️ At the end of last term, our school community gathered for a reverent and moving reenactment of the Stations of the Cross, as our students retold the story of Jesus’ Passion and Death. Each class prayerfully prepared a station, bringing the Scripture to life through drama, reflection, artwork and song. As we journeyed from one station to the next, we were invited to pause, reflect and enter more deeply into the love, sacrifice and hope at the heart of this sacred story. This powerful experience has continued to shape our learning this term, as students now reflect on the story of the Resurrection and what it means to live our faith in action — walking alongside others, showing compassion, and bringing hope to our community. We thank our students, staff and families for their thoughtful participation in this special moment of prayer and reflection.

What a brilliant day for our annual Cross Country Carnival. This year we held two components a competitive race for student wishing to qualify for the Diocesan Carnival and a Fun Run event for those who just wanted to have fun with their friends doing a physical activity. There was certainly a fun carnival atmosphere for our event with children cheering on the serious competitors. The Fun Run saw children running, skipping and even a few penguin walkers. The teachers and even Fr Alby joined the fun. A huge thank you to Mr Pearn and Mrs Paine for their organisation and all the parent helpers who helped with track supervision.

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.
