On Friday, the 26th of July, our OLMC school and parish community came together to celebrate our feast day and to honour our grandparents on the Feast day of St Joachim and Anne, the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus.
Our celebrations began with open classrooms where grandparents had the opportunity to read to their grandchildren, answer quizzes and create artworks. Perhaps it was the students who were the most excited, thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to spend time in their classrooms with their grandparents. This was followed by a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Denis and Martinho.

Thank you to all of the grandparents who joined us for the special day. The children in our school are very lucky to have such loving grandparents, who after listening to children’s stories are wonderful cooks, great storytellers, super fantastic and energetic babysitters, love a variety of games and most of all spoil and cherish their grandchildren.
