What a lovely way to start off the school year with parents, teachers and children coming together for the annual OLMC Welcome Picnic on Friday 15th February
It was a pleasure to spend time with families and have the chance to catch up for a chat over a delicious meal.

Today a new group of eager Kindy starters arrived for their second round of Playgroup 🌺🩷⚽️🧱 Playgroup is intentionally designed to support our youngest learners as they transition into big school. Through play, children learn how to share, negotiate, take turns and build relationships, all essential foundations for positive social development. Play also lays the groundwork for academic success. As children engage in hands-on activities, they develop early literacy and numeracy skills, strengthen their problem-solving abilities, and learn to follow routines and instructions in a safe and supportive environment. Most importantly, play allows children to feel confident, curious and ready to learn.

And so it begins… 💛🩵💛🩵 We had an absolute ball during Playgroup Session 1! Our little learners jumped right into the fun, and our parents were also treated to a wonderful session focused on building resilience and wellbeing strategies to support their Kindy student as they begin their big school journey.

As October, the Month of the Rosary, comes to a close, our Spirit Squad has been busy interviewing students from Kindergarten to Year 6 about what the Rosary means to them 💙 From finding peace in prayer to feeling close to Mary and Jesus, our students shared heartfelt reflections that remind us how prayer takes many forms. Through our daily decade of the Rosary and the Family Rosary Bags, our community has taken time this month to pause, reflect and pray together, growing in faith and love. Our Spirit Squad members also found this time meaningful and insightful. Lawrence shared that he was inspired by all the students' answers and, as the photographer, he was surprised by how eager they were for photos and to be interviewed. Kristopher shared that he was inspired by how open all students were to speak about their faith and experience.
